Meth Tune and Blue knobs??

razor im curious as to how far if at all switching from just alky to meth will throw a tune off? how much will it richen the mixture?? the other thing is i went 10.7 last year on small combo and looking to go bottom 10's this year with different set up how often do the guys in the 10's play with the controls in the box and how far do they have the bluw knob turned??? im curious cause last year i had the alky come in at 10psi and had the intial turned up a little bit im wondering if i should leave them alone for now and just use the blue knob and fuel pressure??

Use just enough alky to get your KR to zero. Whatever it takes.. if you find your maxing out the blue knob, and turning up the initial.. and still need more.. then add another nozzle to the setup.

Keep an eye on consumption.. if its going through the methanol.. life is good.

Typically I suggest looking into the twin nozzle somewhere in the mid/high 10's.

Richen the car using fuel.. while the alky richens, getting crazy spraying too much the car will nose down at the end. Too little it will show KR. If your at zero kr.. start reducing the blue knob a very small amount every pass till the knock sensor gets tickled.. at that point see where your O2's are.. if theyre in the 760-780 range.. add a little alky to zero the KR. If theyre in the 780-800 range then add a little alky to get rid of KR and drop some fuel.

Every car is different.. takes work.

Yep.
Anything less then that, and it's extremely touchy, IMO. I'd started with a dual, and while it ran great while *barely* on, it was incredibly touchy to tune.

Thats why I dont like suggesting duals rite out unless there is tuning experience.
