Methanol, ethanol, and isopropyl

Given that Methanol is considered poisonous and corrosive, is anyone having luck with other flammable alcohols?

It strikes me that you can get a 40/60 ethanol/water mix (vodka) fairly cheaply just about anywhere (except on Sunday in Kansas), and isopropyl is readily available at the corner drugstore. Neither one of those will cause nerve damage when ingested in small quantities like methanol will.

Thoughts?!?

Aquamist specifically prohibits use of Ethanol with their pump, although I dont know the specific reason. Either IsoPropyl or Methanol may be used...Usually, Methanol is preferred for its increased octane rating.
