I'm sorry but Michael Bolton sucks! :wtf: I can't wait for these Honda commercials to run their course.

I'm betting they lost business.... LOL!

He was actually in the nursing home I work in as a visitor to a relative. Was singing in her room, thankfully I missed it.:D You know your career is in the crapper if you are making Honda commercials.

:yuck: It makes me change the channel. :vomit:

But I would say most new car dealer commercials nowadays make me wanna puke!

Michael Bolton?

or do you mean the other Michael Bolton- the one that sucks? he was pretty inspiring as Captain Jack Sparrow in that one video...

A crappy artist advertising crappy cars is one thing. What annoys me more is good songs being used for crappy cars. :poop: Witness in the last few years the Honda Odessey minivans were advertised with Ozzy and Judas Priest. Then there was a Kia Superbowl commercial that used Mötley Crüe. Uggggh! :wtf:

Michael Bolotin[2] (born February 26, 1953), known professionally as Michael Bolton, is an American singer-songwriter. Bolton originally performed in the hard rock and heavy metal genres from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, both on his early solo albums and those he recorded as the frontman of the band Blackjack. He is best known, however, for his series of soft rock ballads, recorded after a stylistic change in the late 1980s. He is noted for his distinctive tenor/countertenor vocal style.

Bolton's achievements include recording eight top 10 albums and two number one singles on theBillboard charts, as well as winning multiple American Music Awards and Grammy Awards"

He was born one town, make that city over from me, I never knew he sang metal in the 70's.

I don't listen to commercials or his ballads but some people must. ;)

Don't forget Led Zeppelin selling out to Cadillac. :p

I know people make fun of him for various reasons but he does have a good voice. I don't own any of his music. Kind of reminds me of Michael McDonald in having a distinctive yet slightly annoying tone. Can't deny that either of them have been successful.

And singing for your supper at nursing homes!
They make the blandest food there!
:D

Shit - or Bob Seger for that matter.
He has more songs go commercial than many.
But still love Bob.

Reminds me of Dennis DeYoung when he went all Mr. Roboto insane and damned near took Styx with him.
Those arteests...they're an odd bunch! :D

Captain Jack Sparrow aka Johnny Depp
Another tired caricature of an actor
Aside from the Pirates movies, most of his recent films have been financial busts.
But - I'll trade places with him because I'm sure he gets the ...ladies :D

me thinks you missed the point of my post... probably didn't watch the video, either..

here it is again:

the thing about Michael Bolton is that he knows where he fits in the pop culture of this country- a lot of people buy his music for some reason, but no one will admit to it... he's kind of the punchline for a lot of jokes, and he's fine with that and willing to use that to make more money for himself... gotta respect that.

LMBO! That's funny chit!

I saw Styx for free back in 1973, when they actually played hard rock, almost metal, the big money has always been in mainstream pop. ;)

Mr. Roboto  LOL :poop:

Now get out your copies of 'Thriller' and dance.:p:oops:o_O

Michael Bolton not only sang, but wrote #1 hits for others should anyone remember Laura Branigan RIP.

Yeah, nobody should sell out for cars. :singing:
