I'd like to go mid to low 12's. I'd also still like to drive the car around. Is this possible? If so, what else would i need besides what's in my signature? Thanks again guys.

I can do it. :)

Alky. is the key. Slight upgrades on the turbo, and injectors.

Big neck or a V4.

Good tires.

Lotsa boost low timing.

PS: Otherwise build an 11 sec. car and detune it.

If tuned properly, race gas and a race chip. I'm still in learn mode, so maybe the guru's can give you better advice.

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My man let me be the first to say......are you kidding me? Absolutely.People run around on the street running 10s.My chip for example has 7 settings. Its called an ultrachip from cottons performance.o is no fuel 1 is valet(governed to only let the driver say your 16 yearold son go 60 mph..tops and 3 93 octane 4 94 octane 5110 octane 6 114 octane and 7 whatever you can get your hands on.Still have to watch for the knock....ALWAYS!!!!!!!!

Without alcohol injection or ported heads, you'll need to swap in some race gas to run safe low 12's in a TR. A turbo regal in "Race Trim" will always be faster than the same car in street trim.

I've driven my car one way for 3 hours (190 miles), put in race gas, changed chip, raised the boost, run five 11.6-11.7's without changing tires, put the street gas back in and drove home, with Zero problems. This is with a 90 thousand mile unmodified stock long block and minimal bolt on mods. Lots of other people have driven longer and run quicker.

Streetable is a relative term, but there are a few 9 second streetable TR's around here (ones that are actually driven on the street). Of course they are stage 2 cars.

you should be asking "is it possible to run low 10's and still be streetable" these cars are not your average big block/big cam cars that need to be trailered to the track...these cars are very mild and you can run low 11's without even doing motor work...all it takes is an efficient aftermarket turbo, injectors, race gas, race chip, and slicks...i have run low 12's with the stock turbo, injectors, and intercooler but that was pushing it...23 psi (about max for a stocker) 110 leaded race gas, 30 degree timing race chip, and a very cool night with very good hooking slicks...it's very possible trust me, just gotta tune tune tune! yeah i need to speak for myself...i have ran exactly a second slower with my new combo the other night because my car was completely out of tune...i will get there soon though:cool:

look at the cars in my sig. top one will do 11's on pump gas and the other 12's. both drive like stockers and are driven to the track.

Streetable is a subjective term - alot of people view it differently, for example some people think my car is not streetable for many reasons(main one being the 8 point rollbar)yet it is driven everywhere and always to and from the track.I have yet to run it on racegas and don't belive in alchy so the times in my sig are simply Sunoco 94 :D

Look at my sig. Low 12's and been on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 98', 99', 01', 02'. All the way to Detroit, raced and beat a built Mustang GT while looking for the hotel, and criused home with no problems. This year we went to Lincoln, Nebraska. Yes, it's VERY possible! Turbo Buicks Kick A$$!!!:D :D

I don't know about your 89 craftman :D , But GNttype.org has a few 12 second recipes for the Buick.

HTH.

Put a 3 inch downpipe on your car, free flowing exhaust, race chip and some good gas. Turn up the boost and as long as you hook up your in the 12's.

I ran 12.84 with a chip, fuel pump, voltbooster, K&N and an open test pipe. That was on radial tires (would not hook) stock injectors, turbo, downpipe and intercooler.

Oh by the way this was 10 years ago. Technology now is far superior.
