i messed my car up pretty good the other night and its going to need body work so im gonna start on it which will have it off the road for awile..

i did finally get my car in race trim before the turbo let go and it is really nasty to say the least...well it is twisting the car bad even up in high gear which is the only time i can get it to hook up so...

what im thinkng is while its off the road im thinking about converting it back to hot air and painting it getting my interior finished and putting it back on 16 inch wheels

i still have my elcamino sitting in the back yard that is striped down as a hotrod (light weight) and im thinking instead of going with the sb motor and nos im looking at putting my i/c motor in it.

im at the point with the i/c motor that i'll be needing a roll bar even when i go run in street trim and im not going to do that with my buick

with the elcamino it will be lighter and will actually hook up without going nuts with the suspention ...it will be ladder bar rear with trick springs in the front and a full roll cage inside

the frame is notched in the rear but im consitering doing a back half on it then i can get the car/truck lower in the rear and im looking to tuck some 29/14:50 hoosiers up in it and run 3:73 gears with it.

but be looking for another hotair in the 12's when it comes back out...:D and a low 10 second elcamino

later....RED

Sounds like a great choice Red. Those elcaminos with 3.8 are just pure bad ass.

Too bad about the ride RED

Good to see you have other options though....

Put in some shots when you get it together !

it will be a lot of work to get all this done.

first off i goota start on putting 1/4 panels on the car and getting all that strait..

im looking to find a good turbo for the i/c motor so i can take the buick 1 time and acually make a full pass and get a time slip before i pul i out then i can put it in the elcamino without any changes and see what the difference is.

im going to have to go to buick front end on the elcamino to have room for the ford i/c..so im going to take the radiator support and header panel from my ttype to use on the el and put a non cut front back on the buick.

any way i have to see what the insurance is going to do for me on the 1/4 panel damage..

i'll give updates later ..it'll be a couple weeks before i can do anything to the buick so im playing with the elcamino..and im looking for a cheap regal to cut the 1/4's off and get the dash out for the el.
