GNX001
GNX001 is still owned by GM. It is local to the Tech Center in Warren. The car has been repainted for use in displays, shows, and press events. The tires are not orginal, the rears has been changed a few times. GNX's 001 through 004 was ordered and used for press events across the US. Each car was sent to Flint for media prep prior to sending out to events. 02,03,and 04 was sold to dealers after they finished thier tour. One GNX proto-type missed the crusher and was sold to a retiring employee (47GBC18). It has been sold again, I believe most of you know who owns it now. 001 (for sure) and possibly 02,03,04 were taken from ASC early so Buick could get cover stories on the cars. You will notice that 01 is missing many of the ASC decals and also has the wrong side vents on the car. 01 was built with chromed wheel weights for a little extra flair....didn't make it past the first tire change.
As for Mike Doble, he retired after the Blackhawk project. GM made a big mistake by letting him go. Great guy.
