Missing Cap for coolant near Transmission Dip Stick

Top of my cap located near transmission blew off. Seems to be for coolant. What's the name and where can I find one?

thats an aftermarket coolant flush tee from prestone ,or dorman ...check parts store

supposed to be a vacuum heater flow valve there not a flush tee

the heater flow valve if you can find it is 25523118 and not cheap but there is a cheaper alternative..

The OEM all metal (cad or yellow zinc plated) valve was discontinued in 2014 or early 2015. There was enough inventory available that anyone who wanted one could buy as many as wanted pretty inexpensively up until the past year or so.

I've noticed in the past year or so that the available supply from Amazon and the Buick vendors has nearly dried up. So much so that partsplace Jo has them on ebay for $300 each.

even a crappy looking, rusted but functional (for now) control valve has an asking price of $100.

So, I thought I'd share that there is an excellent alternative if you don't...

thats same as garden hose so a cap for hose would work
heres a brass one at home depot.

keep in mind running that flush tee there means you have coolant circulating through the heater core at all times , winter and summer
id pull it and get the valve and connect it to the hvac vac line

From the looks of the crap in the heater pipe, a flush is pretty much a "no-go".

A cleaner approach would be to eliminate the coolent pipes and run a hose directly from the intake to the water pump.
