Wandered if my cruise control problem and miss problem could be one in the same? At speed my car has a miss. It's more noticable when the engine is under a load (up hill) but seems to go away at full throttle. I noticed this past Sunday that my cruise control would just stop for no reason. I could hit the button and set it againn without a problem but I wandered why it quit in the first place.

Could both of these problems be cause by a vacuum leak? If so where should I look?

Don't think a vacum leak is the cause, more than likely its the ignition module or coil going bad. A bad ignition wire or spark plug are also a good candidate for missfire.

Coil Pack is fairly new (within in a year and I only put 2000 - 3000 on it a year), module is 2 months old and I just put the 10mm Magnacore wires on it. I pulled 4 of 6 plugs and they were white and I mean white which tells me it's running lean so I bumped the fuel pressure up 2 pounds but have not checked the plugs yet. I'll have to throw T-Link on it to see if anything shows up.

Any other suggestions?

Ah, you've covered the basics already. Check your ground wires on the firewall. Make sure the Positive battery wire isn't burned
by the header. How about your MAF? Hopefully, the T-link will give some clues as well.

I think I have the same problem

Does your miss occur at around 50-60 mph with the tach at around 1800-2200. This is driving me crazy with the missing and bucking. I changed the coilpack, ignition module, and put on the 10 mm wires from Magnecor. The problem was fine for a day, then it came back. ???? I don't use the metal boots from the factory on the Magnecor's. Could this be the problem. Too much heat frying at least one of the wires in a very short period of time? I hope I'm on to something here. Please help, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way, the car runs great at all other times including WOT. Thanks!

When my car did that it was locking the converter and unlocking it.It was the switch on the brake pedal.I could hold my brake pedal up with my foot and it would stop.So all I did was adjust the switch.

His car will even do this at about 1200 rpm just holding it there in park as well. It is like a rough running and sorta a popping that you can hear out the exhaust more than a dead miss.
