mods for carb turbo 3.8

i have a carb 3.8 in a 80 monte i was wondering what kind of mods everyone knows are the best.. i have head work, valve work, cam, exhuast, rebuilt carb and emissions are not on the car anymore.. still feel slugish!! besides the trans and gear swap what works?

Personally, I would get a 4bbl. aftermarket intake and switch it to a blow through setup would would also give the means to intercool it, but that's just me.
