The trans you are linked to is equivalent to what I build for $750 core included. So their prices are not way out of line. A bit high for what it is IMO, but not too bad if the core is included.

I build a "Street/Strip" trans that is equivalent to their Super Sport trans or whatever for $900. It has the 34 element sprag and drum, etc.
