more boost!!!

Hey how do u turn up the boost. and how do i know how much its set at now? the gn (87) is completly stock but i do have a 340 fp and a scan master i just can figure how to turn the boost up.
My borther in law is kicking my ass with his 93 LT1. He runs high 13s like 13.9 at 97. thanks guys.

Do you have an adjustable rod?, if not you can make one easily. Gnttype hasthe instructions on how to do it, if u dont want to buy one.

Assuming you have the prerequisites done. Two basic ways. 1. Make the wastegate arm adjustable or buy an adjustable one. Shorten the arm, get more boost. 2.Install a bleeder in place of the wastegate solenoid. This bleeds to boost that would normally push open the wastegate. Bleed off more, get more boost.

Also, I'd expect you could do 13.9's with making other cheap mods, stock boost with pump gas.

Packing, its called nitrous!!! Stick a 125 shot on there for around $700, and he'll need a lot to keep up. My brother is running 111mph in his 97 SS with basic mods plus a 75 shot.

i'll probably leave that towards one of the last mods, i would like to do heads and cam first.

87gn do you have an adjustable waste gate?If its stock check if the actuator rod is adjustable, some are some arent.You may also need more fuel pressure.If you need a adjustable rod you can easily make one or I have one lying around,let me know, I live in southeast vegas/green valley area.

shame, shame, shame noone told this man about a boost gauge. he doesn't even know how much boost he's running and you guys are telling him to turn up the boost.

87gnNV, please, please get a boost gauge and look at what you are running first before you do anything else before you destroy your car. your buddies camarslo will see your tail lights soon enough, just do the basics first.

"assuming you have the prerequisites". Since he has been around here for 6 months, I figure he's seen gnttype and a slew of the stuff that goes around and around.

BTW, does he have a scan tool? Just as important as a boost gauge when you start adjusting.
