Ok, I've been battling a low blm problem for quite some time now. Seems no matter how low I set the fp blm's never go over 105. The car is a total turd off the line even if I start to line lock it as soon as I let off the brakes the tires stop spinning and it starts to gradually pick up speed. I found out my alt was bad so I swapped it out. I figured maybe since it wasn't putting out enough volts I would have had a weak spark leading to my cond. Well I was wrong. Checked out my coil pack today and the middle 2 terminals weren't getting a reading. The other 4 where about 13.5. I know that a multimeter isn't the most accurate way to test it but I decided to go to the junkyard and get one just for peace of mind. So I look for a type 2 while I'm there. I found one out of a regency I think...I got home and hooked it up and it didn't work. So I tried to put back on the stock one and now the car gets no spark:confused: After all that I looked it up on gnttype.org and that model car isn't listed on ones for usable coils. I tried the diagnosis starting thingy on the sticky here and didn't get anything for my cam sensor  You think I hit it while taking off the coil or something else? Will that coil I got today still work even though it's not on the list? It looks exactly like the one we are supposed to upgrade to anyway.

Ing swap

If I remember you will have relocate the wires to the 86 87 set up then it is a direct swap. Im sure the cam sensor is fine. I used them in my last car no problems. I belive there was somone that made a adaptor to use the the 86 87 ing module on the hot air cars caspers I think.

Yep...Casper's makes the adapter for the 86/7 ign mod. to the 84/5 wiring harness...Check your fuses in the fusebox...You may have popped one...
