What are the best mounts or plates to use with an iceman T400 crossmember. I want to put an ls with a 400 in my 80 cutlass dont know if i need set back mounts or standard for it to line up. Any info would be appreciated.

Typically if you want to use the stock transmission location, the setback mounts are used. These also give you more oil pan options. A popular oil pan that yields good clearance with the setback mounts is the cts-v pan.

I'm going to use the mounts from BRPhotrods.com for my LS project. There kinda expensive but it's the most complete kit I've found.

BRP mounts are the way to go. Just mate the block to the trans, drill new holes in the crossmember use supplied grade 8 bolts and you are done.
