motor tranny pull

Hey everyone. My car is up on 3 cinder blocks for each corner and a block of wood for comfort. As I get under the car for the beginning of the tear down of tranny/motor, I found unpleasant patches of rust through the floor. know any good replacements? Secondly, I am dropping the trans and rebuilding it so that I can move the car around to pull the motor later in the summer, and I am looking for a strong kit that can take 500 hp, and not take me 500 dollars. I am told Red Eagle is very good, but i think the turbo people are the best for info. What clutches and bands? What about servos? Any help would be great. Thank you!

For the tranny info, start a thread in the tranny forum, your sure to get your info there.
All I know is that when you get around to the shift kit, go with a kit from Superior.
