My daughter came home from school and never checked the oil on the nissan pathfinder .There was no oil on the dipstick and was ticking so i preceded to do an oil change .There was copper colour in the oil.Now on cold startups there is slight noise for a few seconds and goes away.Should i just drive it till she goes its a 98 pathfinder with a 193000 km thanks John

To their credit, Nissans are pretty durable...from what I've seen. If it runs Ok, and doesn't make any hard clunking/thumping/clicking/ticking/smoking noises, you are probably Ok for a while. JMHO.

Keep oil in it for her. It will make for a happier engine.
