hey guys i want to move the tb off the turbo now that i will be running the ta54. I will be still running the stock intake to see how much i can get from it before going to the v2.

Is there a easy way to move the tb or a good place to put it with my sperco setup. I might run the 87 tb tho if it helps any on moving it.

any info would help guys

thanks

The most important thing is to get the TB as close to the intake manifold as possible for the best throttle response. I used a silicone adaptor hose to couple it directly to the elbow adaptor on the manifold. You will need an 87 throttle cable or a throttle cable from a 3.8 FWD car in the junkyard (where I got mine). The hotair one is too short. The MAF pipe will now go directly to the turbo (make sure you get a TE series so you won't have to buy an extra inlet bell). You will need one 62mm turbo inlet bell to bolt to the outlet of the throttlebody so you have something for the silicone hose to clamp to. You will also need a 3" to 2.5" adaptor to go from the intercooler plumbing to the TB. It's all really simple and the gains are really worth it. I can try and E-mail you my pictures if you'd like.

Please e-mail any pictures you have of this project, (especially the tb stuff) to ryanv@trib.com I just started cutting today, and I must suggest to anyone that wants to do this that a plasma cutter makes the job millions of times easier if you can get your hands on one.

Yea that would be great if you could send me some pic of it. I have the ta54 now so i would need another inlet bell for the tb.

thanks bud

Itought about just getting the v2 , it comes with the tb and cable i think. Any one know what the cost of the v2 intake is any way.

I'm at my house now (webtv sucks) but I can mail the pictures tomorrow when I get over to my parents' house.

Hey, when you send those pictures, could you send the lengths of the piping that you use. Becuase I live in Wyoming, I have to order everything, and I would like to get it right the first time.
