I just retired from the Air Force (after 25 years) in June. I moved to South Carolina for the last month and it proved Texas is the place for me.

Hope to be back next week. Now to only find a new job....

LOL Welcome back Rob. It took me 10 years in TN to figure that out. Good luck my friend.

Since I don'r have a job I might be able to help you out. I will let you know when I get there, although I don't know to much about hot airs.

Not to much difference Rob. Just some minor stuff so it shouldn't be to hard for you to figure out.

Ok... well Im sure you'll know more than me. I want to sell mine to get an 86 or 87. Or either upgrade to an 87 drivetrain.

I made it into San Antonio today. Drove from northern Ohio here in two days, so I am dragging.

I picked up an antique dresser in Ohio and bought a Harbor Freight utility trailer to pull it back. I was a little skeptical if the trailer was worth the $269.00 I paid for it, but it pulled great. I added about $100.00 worth of plywood and hardware, so it wasn't that much more than a U-Haul trailer would have cost.

My 120,000 mile 1997 Nissan Maxima pulled it like a champ! The Maxima continues to impress me...I bought it new and have had it in Germany with me twice and had numerous runs (in excess of hours each) in the 130 to 140 mph range on the autobahn, not to mention pulling U-Haul trailers and a Harbor freight trailer all over the United States.

Oh yes - in New Braunfels I was passed by a late model maroon Buick Century or Regal with Texas plate "GNX 068." Is that one of us or just a regular plate number? Since it was on a Buick, I think it may be one of us.

My Buick is still in Albuquerque. I will probably fly back next week and drive it back. I can't wait to get the car and explore the new 5857 turbo on the drive back. Are there any west Texas members I can call upon if I run into any issues (not foreseen though).

Rob

My wife won't let me tuck them in...

Sorry to cut you short today, but the traffic going into Dallas was getting busy.

I'll call you later this week.

I'd take it to the shop. I have a bunch of stuff to take care of over the next week or so and won't be available until after I go get my Buick.

Sorry.
