Moving GN to Canada?

I might be taking a job transfer to work in Canada for a few years. I would be there as a U.S. citizen on a work visa (if that matters). I would be near Toronto.

If I wanted to move a GN with me to Canada, what hurdles can I expect? Are there any tax issues, emissions regs, or anything else I need to consider? My alternative would be to just store the car in the U.S.

Any help or experiences would be appreciated!

Contact Canada Customs. I think if your moving to Canada the car would be part of your posessions and you are good to go. If you already live in Canada and are importing the car you would have to pay the federal tax and provincial tax if your province has one.

I don't think you will have any issues bringing along a vehicle for employment in Canada. It's not like you are moving here. Why not go online and read up on Government of Canada Site | Site du gouvernement du Canada.

If that is not correct then just search "Government of Canada" online.

How do the emissions laws work in Canada?

I would be moving to the Mississauga area if I come up there. Don't know if that makes a difference.
