MPH readings are of on the scanmaster

Scanmaster will be reading 45 mph when im actually doing 60-70. Id like to get get this problem corrected I have no tcc lock up and cruise doesnt work either. I have a GNX dash with vdo gauges if that helps with the suggestions Thanks

Do you have the correct pulse generator for a GM car? Have you always had this problem or did this just start?

I dont know, I just bought this car a couple months ago and Im slowly correcting all the problems as they appear. So I might I might not have the correct pulse generator. How would I check the pulse generator out?

The only quick way to tell is if there is a part number on it. Also check to see if there is a reduction gear box on the cable. Someone may have put one on to calibrate the speedo.

your converter will still lock but much later and the CC will work fine. You have another isue.

Yea my shift to 3rd gear seems to be late and it revs up a bit before going into 3. I watched my powelogger and i dont see any tcc lockup at all?

a third gear late shift has nothing to do with this. Sounds like a TV cable misadjusted..

Thats another thing every time i tried to set the tv cable it wouldnt click up. Maybe its stretched out maybe ill get a new one and see if it fixes my shifting problem. That wouldnt affect the mph being off though. Now I got a multiple problem here haha.
