I would like to keep running 11.90
But this weekend it street car shootout DOT tires,Track prep is so bad MTs wont give me a good 60.
I can take some out of the 2-step and slow the 60 down,I just need to bring up the MPH.
I'm at 24lbs of boost,Eric's 5.7ALKY chip, chip says boost 22-25lb,
I can add timing and get some MPH.
Question is how much boost can I add before I get out of the safe zone??
The chip has been no brainier,so fare I have not touched it, and I'm getting close to getting the 2-step handled.
Car has a lot in it just want to stay away from 11.5 ET and 11.9 is the class I'm running.
 
My chip and 42lb injectors have there limits Im sure you get to a point you get out of the fuel curve and injectors capability to supply fuel at a given boost.FUEL+BOOST=HP I need to add about 3 mph or 40hp to stay at 11.9 will taking some 60 ft away, just want to be safe
 
Try an inch taller tire in the back.
Your boost limit will depend on your motors ablity to cope an the fuel your running

It was a rain out ,dose short shifting give more mph?How. I run a 9-28X15 slick and trap 113 but for street car class they run I was going to run my DOT MT DR 255-60X15 (27) I just dont want to get on the wrong side of my alky chip with boost and get to rein.
 
27's should work great

TT. Alky. chip can run 25psi. easily enough.

113 mph should get you 11.9's all day safely with 42's and alky. with those tires and a 1.8 60 ft.

Work on the 60fts. first.

I'd go up 1-2 psi. boost and leave the timing alone if you need a couple of mph.

Those numbers are readily achievable with a stock headed car so you might want to smack the home head porter upside the head with a wratchet. :eek::p;)

What are you logging data with, shift points rpm?

Is the cam. helping with higher revs.?, tranny set up for the cam shift points for more power?
 
I have the boost set at 24 with the 9X28 Hoosiers and run 11.88 @113 all day long with 1.7 60ft.Before I got the Hoosiers the MT 60ft was all over the place 1.9-2.2 with a 12.5 @111-112 mph
Ive caught on to the 2-step and I believe I can get a consistent 1.8-1.9 60ft with the MT,Ill bet the trap will stay 113 @24 lb boost and ET land 12.2-12.3
going up 1-2 psi from 24 psi is safe on TT chip that's good info, how about 27-28 psi is that in the danger zone
No data logger just a Scanmaster AEM wideband 0 KR so fare
Lonnie at Extreme Auto set it to shift at 5500 and it is.
It will rev. higher than 5500 but I dough it makes more power past 5500, never had it on a dyno.
Don't want to smack the home porter upside the head with a wratchet ,Machinist skills is all I have,I cant spell and can bearly read.
At 55 I have embarrass my wife two boys and a few bosses with my spelling and grammar handicap but never let any one down with my strong back and talented hands.
I have embarrassed a few race cars that show up on trailers when my wife and I drive in with cold AC and mufflers and lay down a 11.88 pass.
 
have you ever footbraked the car?with more boost you may have to add wot in the chip where the alky will just adjust its way up.look at the 02's and wideband,pull plugs,thats the tuning process.i think the car should 60ft much better,but if you are focused on more mph the boost must be raised.
 
The car has 1.6 the 60ft of the foot brake with good track prep.We seldom have that.In Hawaii the 11.90 class is all race cars (back half)with 10.5 and bigger even a few 31-14
With the 2-step I can pull back the power on the 60ft to 1.7 and the Hoosier will hold,same setting the MT go up in smoke.I can pull a little power out and 60 1.8-1.9 But ET goes away
Just need more on the top of the track with the MT.
Got it, add fuel on the chip at WOT in 3-4 not at the regulator.
Is this after 25 lb of boot are what for a little KR ( i would like to be pro active)
Scanmaster showed 730-750 no KR best mph 114 @781 ,Just getting able to look at wideband at the top, Not able to focused on it yet and get a good # 10s and 11s I think
I got to go at it slow the tec.shed guy runs in the 11.9 class one 11.5 and I'm out.
 
I love it @$125.00 for five gal. of C16 I think not.C16 is all they ship in ,was $100.00 last year.I get my methanol from a bio- diesel dud for $10.00 a gal.

Who said anything about C16? I usually raise the octane by adding a few gallons of 101 to my 93/alky combo when I plan to push the car a little harder than normal or if it is really hot.

Fuel prices are quite a bit lower here.
