I have been running low boost for a while now and ive decided to go to the track. What are you guys with MSD 50's and walbro double pumpers finding as your limit? I would like to get some low 11's or high 10's with my current setup. How much boost before ill run out of fuel?

the thread right below your post was about msd 50's and in it, dconnor states that "50's will run out of fuel on a combo such as a pt 70 @ 25+ psi. of boost"
HTH:)

MSD 50's

I run MSD 50's. I run two bosch fuel pumps..@ 24-25lbs boost. Im on the edge @10.60's. I've known some guys go 10.40's on 50's.
I run Max effort thumb wheel with 26 degree timming.

I think you'll run out of fuel at around 20lbs of boost with the 70 turbo with the MSD 50's. 72 or 75lb injectors would be a much better match IMO especially considering you have ported heads and intake. You should be making some serious power and why chance it with small injectors:confused: Just my .02:)

Same here.....On the 118 mph pass I noticed my inj duty cycle was around 96%, so that's getting towards the edge IMO. I'm getting ready to step up to the 72's, Extender, Trans+, and 3.5" MAF...A good chunk of change but well worth the $ if it keeps me from hurting the motor. I'm running the staged ATR pumps, so fuel volume is there. I would rather spend the money and have a big cushion than walk the line skirting with destruction...lol.

Slo86Gn, Do not forget to do the ECM upgrade for low impedence injectors. Just thought I would mention it as you did not say anything about this and looks like you will be staying with the stock ECm

Nope, didn't forget about that. Gotta pull the ECM, pack it up and send it to Mike at Ramchargers for the driver change. I had debated on just doing an injector upgrade or all of the stuff mentioned. Decided to do it all simply because it'll give me plenty of room to grow later on down the road. Gonna be fun, that's for sure...lol.
