MSD DIS-4 Plus Question

Question for users. On the first dial. What number should it be at?

Joe, I just went to look at mine and the first dial (for "waste spark") is set at the default setting #1.

Thanks Claude. In that case I have an MSD problem. This is the reason I wasted my day at the Track last week. I by passed it today and it lit like a Torch.
I will have to contact MSD next week.

Joe, what makes you think that the MSD is bad?...Do you have the "bypass plug" that comes with it? You can use it when in you're doubt about the MSD box being bad or not...:redface:

Yes Claude, and to think that I had it with me last week. It seems to cut off at around 4500 under boost. So I by-passed it by using the Plug and WOW...
My rev Limitter is set at 6500. So I was going to try it at #3, but if yours is at #1 their is no point in trying tomorrow.
I never shoud of purchased a Used Unit...FXXX
And to think that I sold my New one last year that was working perfect just in case I was going to have troubles....I DO NOW..:frown:

I don't think so. The Fel-Pro header Gaskets let go, and besides I have plenty of work on Turbo Buicks up until Christmas..

We will start early next Spring.............:biggrin:

Thanks for the offer Claude, but I saw this comming. So I had ordered last year a set of SCE Copper's I have sitting on the shelf..

MSD says that I have to use a Filter # 8830. Do you have to use one of these??
I never did..
