It's raining here and I'm bored. I started downloading some music and remembered there are a bunch of great song remakes out there.

Here some really good ones that JAM!:
Careless Whisper/Wham remade by Seether
Smooth Criminal/Michael Jackson remade by Alien Ant Farm
Word Up/Cameo remade by Korn

Post up your favorites.

That Careless Whisper remake is bad ass. Sooo much better than the original IMO.

Here are some remakes I was actually listening to earlier today...

Originally by MJ -
YouTube - David Cook - Billie Jean.. Studio Version, Music Video

Tears For Fears, then covered by Gary Jules -
YouTube - Top 8 Adam Lambert Mad World STUDIO RECORDING Full Version

Now, to rock it out a little...
Brownsville Station -
YouTube - motley crue smoking in the boy's room

Slade -
YouTube - Quiet Riot - Mama Were All Crazee Now

Ian Hunter -
Great White - Once Bitten Twice Shy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz61YQWZuYU

Mountain - Mississippi Queen
My favorite remake of it was by Sam Kinison

"Angel Of The Morning", Merilee Rush did it in the 60s and Juice Newton did it in the 80s.

The original Stone Cold Crazy was pretty good, but then again I'm an early Queen fan, anything after 1976/1977 was pretty much crap. :p

Riders on the Storm remake... The Doors

Best Video EVER, watch the cars race up the lady:biggrin:

GUYS, TURN THE SOUND UP AND GET YOUR LIGHTERS OUT!!! http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqQkECIn738

try this instead- you had an extra "http" in your link.
YouTube - Gretchen Wilson & Alice in Chains - Barracuda

i'm an old school metal head, but Gretchen Wilson is one talented woman. too bad she's marketed as a country singer and hangs out with those retards that call themselves the "musik mafia".
as for cover tunes, no on has done more awesome covers of crappy songs than Metallica. the only cover they've ever done that i don't like better than the original is "Turn the Page"- that song was perfect just as Bob Seger did it in the 70's and just didn't translate to the sped up version Metallica did- but the video they made for it simply kicks ass.
and they've so far avoided the cliche of doing a metal cover of an 80's pop song, which is a good thing. the closest they've ever come was when they played about 30 seconds of "Beat It" at some MTV show a few years back.

thanks for fixing that. I thought it looked funny when I submitted it - I copied the address from my browser then inserted it with the "insert link" button. ??

NIN "Hurt" covered by Johnny Cash
Dolly Parton "Jolene" covered by The White Stripes

I'll see if I can post videos when I get home.
