Yesterday afternoon on my way to buy an upgraded turbo my gn got totaled . Even being on this site makes me miss my turbo buick. A lincoln continental cut me off and forced me into on coming traffic, which happened to be a dodge ram at the time, I swerved to miss the truck but it still grazed me and knocked me into a telephone pole. The scary part is 20 seconds before the accident I told my friend to put his seat belt on....!!!The insurance company is sending an apprasial guy that should be coming later this week. Im pretty new to this does anyone have any idea how much $$$ I might be getting? it was a 86 grand national with 150K miles with the we2 option package and it was in fair condition! I have all the original reciets since it was new!

Please keep us posted on how things turn out. You didn't mention if you or anyone else was injured in this accident. From the sounds of it, you came out of this OK.

Just take it day by day. It's a shame that bad $hit happens to good people with nice cars because stupid people can't drive and don't care.

Very sorry to hear about the accident. Hopefully there were no injuries.

If you search the recent ( last 2 weeks ) for a couple other insurance / total loss posts a couple people from the insurance industry ( including myeself ) have posted a lot of details on how to best handle your claim. I just doint have time to retyep them right now ;)

I was talking to bweavy and I'm gonna try and pick up another turbo buick from him! He seems like good people! But I'm worried that the insurance company is gonna try and beat me in the head and low ball me he said to be prepared for them to make me a really low offer!:(

I hate to hear this happening to any nice car. All I can say is at least you had insurance, and hopefully you get what the car is worth. Mine had to come out of pocket since it happened on the track. :(

Sorry to hear. My 1st GN was demolished too but still new enough for a rebuild. Some dumbazz lady pulled right out in front of me while I was going 50mph on a hwy. Her rear bumper was in her back seat and she tried blaming ME! She got the ticket and after $6,000.00 in insurance claims my car was back to brand new (with show quality repaint to boot).

I'm gonna guess you'll be somewhere in the $6,000-$8,000 area if it's totalled based on what you've said about your car's condidtion.
