Yep happens a lot I bet, T Bolt Clamps and 3 or 4 ply hoses are the way to go. Not one blow off since those upgrades and I ran 23psi all year long with alky.

Good stuff. I think the scariest track moment I've had was about 3 years ago. It was the first pass on a muggy 85* t&t day. The belt tensioner pulley burnt through the upper radiator hose at 110 or so. If you have never had that happen before, you lose power steering for a couple seconds. Not fun when trying to hit the return road on a shorter track. Learned a valuable lesson that day. Still went 12.08 though;)

That would have scared the crap out of me as well. I had the intercooler blow off the turbo before. That just makes a sad squeaky sound that makes you get off it real quick as you hear it getting higher and higher.

I stepped on the brake pedal and it did NOTHING!!!

That's my biggest fear. That's why I was testing the alky on the expressway in the first place, if the brakes don't work I'd at least have room to coast.

One time I got caught up racing some ricers on the highway and we came to a section where two seperate branches merged together and I thought I was going to rearend someone, not because of the powermaster but just because of the general crappiness of the stock brakes.

I've had it happen to me at work where I'll pull out a car for another technician and they don't bother to tell me that they just did a brake job, even feeling the brake pedal sink to the floor in someone's worthless Toyota is scary.
