alright heres the deal..... i changed out the breather and pcv valve and my car is smoking rather badly. it was already smoking before these changes but it seems worse now. help me please.

when i thought i had a bad rear mian it turned out to be a shot pan gasket my car blew smoke out the back and it was b/c the oil was being blown on to the crossover. oddly this was after the kn breather was put on the valve cover:confused:

it is white smoke. and it didnt do it this bad untill i put a new breather on the valve cover either. i changed it back to stock and it still smokes but not that bad.

white smoke is definately an indication of coolant in the
combustion chamber. possible blown head gasket. check
the condition of oil. make sure it doesn't have a grayish
color. don't drive with blown head gasket cause you'll
be rebuilding the motor also. find specs and do leakdown
/compression test.

i see you are in the north florida turbo buick club. how about getting one of the guys in the club whose done it before to help you and pay them a couple hundred dollars. if not take it to a mechanic you trust w/your car and have them do it. personally id rather have someone whos done it before and that i know help me do it rather than letting any mechanic do it IMO.

i have one or more of the guys helping me but pay a couple of hundred bux? nah im gonna pass on that one. ill just have them tell me what to do

thats a good idea. personally if someone helps me with something and takes time out of their day to help me i cant stand not doing something for them or paying them but thats just me. a couple hundred bucks was probably a bit extreme. oh well good luck on doing your headgasket and dont forget to PORT THOSE HEADS WHILE YOUR AT IT:D i might be looking at replacing a headgasket in the near future also and im definately going to port the heads while they are off.
