First time post, I might need some help with setup. Heres my stage 11 combination. Pt 88 turbo stage 11heads 4 barrel intake converted for FI,160lbs. inj., Comp cams solid roller lifter,258-254 dur. 614- 614 lift, pt front mount IC fast fuel management sys. 400 trans with brake 390 gears 28/11 goodyears Car with driver 3450 lbs. Best time so far is 9.74 140.18. I am sure this car should be faster than this. what is my mistake? Is it in the setup? Need help please.

730-750 hp aint too shabby...what RPM you goin thru the traps at? 6600-6700? Tires are kinda small, just going to 29's should give you 5mph. How much boost? What are your shorts? 60' 330' 660'. With some more info maybe we can see where the car is falling short. But it looks to me like its running pretty good.

Turbo Jim,
The trap RPM, is 7000 to 7100, 60' was 1.44, 330'4.057,1/8,6.25@112.21, 25-26 PSI. It can take 6-7 seconds to spoll up at line. I try to launch at 15 PSI. The best time i had was with 83 lbs inj. The best with 160's is 9.97. My duty cyl. with 83's was sometimes over 100%. the 160's are in the 50's max. Thanks Tom PS. The engine 256 ci Stock stroke , 4.005 bore.

6-7 second spoolup? At the least your convertor is way too tight. I have a 3500 stall and can still race on a pro tree with the exact same setup as you with a liitle bigger motor. 274 inch/pte88/stageII headed/3.9 gears/3540 pounds and I have ran a best of 9.2@149.5 at Bowling Green this year. If your 83 pound times are faster than your 160 pound times then you also have a pretty bad tuning problem. You should have been able to put in the new injectors and change the constant and immediately go run exactly the same times.

Summit.....
On the brake 3000-3500 is easy but there very little PSI.1-2 lbs.Going to 5000-5500 takes 5-6 more secs.12-15 PSI. There seems to be a flat spot at 3000RPM. To get past that point I give it a 75 HP. shot of NOS. Tuning is probably way off. Trans temps would very high waiting 6-7 secs.

look at your datalogs. Immediately on the transbrake you should see 3500 rpm minimum and preferably something closer to 4100. It's amazing what a few hundred rpm will do to get that turbo going. Sounds like the majority of your issues are tuning.
