How does he do at the agility stunts?I have 2 Siberians and wondered how they would do at that.

Thanks,
Scott

He does well for being a Siberian.......but not as well as if were a Border Collie if that makes sense.

The hardest part, and I am sure you will agree, is the complete lack of listening to verbal commands that the breed displays :-)

If you want more info......I can let you talk to me wife. She is an agility instructor at a nearby training facility.

Yes that makes a LOT of sense! LOL

They like to listen when they want to thats for sure:D

Have you ever tried a shock collar?

I think you need an all White Husky with 2 blue eys to complete the calander...

Seen in the paper today a female for sale ,1yr old all white and 2 blue eyes just like my Ceasar

Beautiful K9's...how much do they weigh?
What is an average weight for a Siberian Husky?
How do they fair in summer heat?
Lastly, how much exercise/ human contact do they need?
(For example, Labs hate to be left alone during the day when you are at work; they tend to chew up the furniture.)

The summer heat is not bad if you have a cool place for them.
They need a good amount of exercise. The human contact depends on the dog. My male only wants to be next to me when he wants to. My female is right under your feet all the time:D
I put my dogs in crates when im gone for more than 5 hours at a time. Other wise they get bored and start to do bad things:rolleyes:

A white one would be different....but they kind of creep me out. I don't really like the red ones much either. One of ours has two blue eyes and that too is kind of creepy.

Males average 50-55
Females average 40-45

They do 'ok' in the summer heat as we keep them inside when we are home. When they are outside they are in their kennel which has concrete floor and a large fan blowing across them :-)

I have been thinking of installing a misting system to lower temps but have yet to do so.

If we leave them home we make sure there is at least one other so they are never alone. They are a pack animal (more so than other breeds) and do not like being alone.

Currently we have 5 with a litter of pups planned for January/February.

Renthorin, great looking dogs. I'll have to see if I can find that calendar for next year. I recently lost my Black/White/Blue eyed male (Bandit) after 11 1/2 years to health problems not common to Huskies (seizures). I can honestly say he was the best dog I ever had. My solid White 6 year old male (Max) now has a bad case of seperation anxiety. He does not like being alone since the death of Bandit plus my wife and I had our little girl 6 months ago. Max sleeps in front of the baby bed every night and howls if he is not let in. He has scratched a hole in the screened back door wanting in during the day when we are at work.

Vector, my Huskies have all weighed between 45 and 60 lbs. I live in Mississippi, so they can tolerate the summer heat, but they love their kiddie pool. Keeping them bathed and brushed helps cut down their undercoat during the summer. Huskies need a sizable yard, they love to run. After all they were breed to run. Our Huskies have all wanted to be with us, but no problems being left alone. If they got bored they dug holes, but I tried to keep toys and rawhide bones to keep them occupied. I also think keeping them in pairs helped.
