My brother in law has been talking junk to me for 6 months while he has been building his stroked 351 88 mustang. He told me how bad hw was going to beat me and all kinds of junk. he put his car on the same dyno i did and he pulled 380 to the wheels where i pulled 429 and could not hold boost, he has since not been saying anything about his car. Every one who is building their first car thinks it going to be so much faster than what it turns out to have.

Yep. The quickest way to turn a "12 second" car into a 14 second car is to take it to the race track.

There was a guy down the street who had a 9 second mustang. I will admit it did sound healthy. I asked him what track he got those times from and he replied that he used one of those things you stick to the windshield. What are they called?

I am sure it was real accurate.

I think its a G-Tech unit. It uses G forces to record the 1/4 time.

I have heard that if used properly, those things are fairly accurate.
Not dead on, but close to accurate.
