Friday me and Snorman went down to see Bill Anderson to pick up my street powered stage car. Bill spared nothing on this car and it has the best of everything. I must say it is the first car I have owned that I find myself looking at to find something to do.... I can find nothing. :confused: :(

The car is bad ass and almost scary fast on the street.

Think he might need a rollbar before he can take it to the track unless he can sneek it thru tech or maybe go to a private track rental... I doubt Travis wants to put a bar in it for obvious reasons (it's too damn clean);)

That car should be featured in a magazine!!! Ya know Rick Jensen (editor of GMHTP) is in NJ.... Hmmmmmmmm??:D :cool:
 
I am torn on a bar:( It is just to clean.

I would love to get it in GMHTP.

I am going to try and sneak a pass in, maybe a private pass. :D
 
theres a guy around here that made a 10.0 pass in his and acted like he didnt know it would do that. they asked that he not come back.


but it would be fun just to run it out!

It is just sick, 60mph floor it and look in the rear view mirror and see 2 deep black marks:eek:

I am sure if I make a pass, I would be flamed by certain board members that I am jeopardizing everyones safety. So we will see:D

I am looking at making the MAGNA meeting. I have not gone in a while:(

Rides will be $20.00 light to light:eek:

Just kidding, I will let ya share the experience of being pulled to the seat like a rocket.:D

Nice looking car Travis..that has to be one of the nicest steering wheels I've seen!! Give us the lowdown on the buildup..I know it is a Stage 1 but what else? Scott

My first born (now 36 years old) decided he'd make a mid 10 second pass with his Supra at Speedworld. No roll bar. Stern warning first time. Second pass he was promptly ejected with a certified letter sent to him banning him from any NHRA Division 7 track for six months. He tried to get into Firebird about a month after that and was rejected in tech because of the letter from Speedworld. He hasn't raced in just under six months now. He's welcomed back on March 17, 2005 but must talk with the Safety Director at Speedworld for one last ass chewing lecture. Hope he has learned his lesson. Division 7 tracks (at least) are very serious about safety inspections and proper equipment.

1987 GN hardtop, 63k miles, stage 1 274, forged crank,rods and Ross Pistons. All 4 billet steel caps.Fully ported Champion 14 bolt heads,custom hydraulic roller, ported stock manifold, remote mounted filter with System 1 element, all stainless braided hoses throughout. ATR stainless headers with ATR 3" crossflow dual exh. PT70GTQ 4 bolt turbo and custom 3" downpipe with Lee Performance WG. Custom aluminum radiator with Black Magic fan, PTE front mount, 70mm throttle body and plenum. F.A.S.T. fuel management unit with 83# injectors,Aeromotive fuel pump with -8 supply and -6 return line. Built 200r4 trans with all billet/hardened internals, TCS 9/11 lockup converter and Art Carr deep pan. Factory rear with Auburn pro carrier, 3.70 Richmond gears and Moser axles with C-Clip eliminators. All new brakes, car is lowered 2" all the way around with spindles and springs, still rides like stock. Centerline Telstar wheels with BFG drag radials. Delco CD player, boost,temp and oil pres gages, perfect seats and steering wheel, ICE COLD R12 a/c. Paint is about 3 years old, Fiberglass bumpers with aluminum supports, All new GM weatherstripping. Frame was stripped to bare metal and refinished in satin black.

It has a T/A rear end girdle, new fuel tank with 1/2" custom pickup, CSI hi torque mini starter, all new upper control arm bushings, B&M super-cooler trans cooler.

680hp at the tires:eek:

Bill builds some bad ass rides. It has been a LONG wait but well worth it. When I fire it up in the Garage it shakes the house. :D

Sweet ride, but you said there is nothing left to do to the car... I'm not really liking the pine tree air freshener hanging from the emergency brake. Just thought I'd give a little constructive criticism before you try to get it into GMHT. ;)
