When I first signed on back in July ive irritated some folks, made a few friends, learned a little, forgot a lot, had to re-read to remember what I forgot, threw my 2 cents in when I shouldn’t have but sometimes I just cant help myself. Ive went through all the threads and printed off a lot of smart troubleshooting which I know I will need when spring comes, ive set up a little file cab and organized it.
Winter set in fast, my cars are put away and its boring at work during the day and boring at home during the night, my woman is in Fl for the winter, but I do fly down once a month at least and that helps to ease my isolation.
Work has been down this year, the boss decided to put his brother in charge in late 06 and of course he was gunning for me, we just didn’t see eye to eye…perhaps because im 6ft and he is 5.5, he fired me, boss rehired me.. his brother stepped down after 7 months but it just hasn’t been the same since, but we did work together this past week for the first time in 6 months and i dont hold any grudges.
Had to sell off my 76 stinkray to pay bills, got screwed out of 7 grand in labor for a restoration but I got this buick as payment and couldn’t be more happy.
I was brought up that if I ever made a deal I better be able to back my mouth up. Its sad to think that our fathers might have been the last generation where a hand shake was good enough.
Ive only been on here since july and ive bought and sold a few times, I put a make offer on new stock turbo, first reply was offer of $125, what was it worth to me?…um $125..lol I just shipped meanchicken out an adjustable actuator for nothing.. was like here take it.. if ya want to slide me something for shipping cool. Its just the way I am.
Ive been a member of a lot of chevy forums and tried the other ones and they seemed to have their own click which is fine but I went through 8th grade once.
I like this forum and I like the people on it, have met a couple of members on here in person down in Florida and hope to meet more in BG. Ive always been one to give the shirt off my back. My dads been gone 5 years now but like he always told me …don’t loan your tools out and don’t make new years resolutions.
RIP Dad
Happy New Year
Mike
