When I go WOT, sometimes (more and more often) I get a high pitched screech. (It's not the turbo, just had that rebuilt.) I was cncerned that it might be my I/C fan tipping the I/C. nope.....

It's gotta be the serpentine belt or one of the pullies. Of course, I can't get a look or listen at it because at idle or normal driving it's as quiet as a church mouse.

The belt looks to be in good shape and is not that old. But I'll pull it and do a better inspection on it.

Question: Is there a way to inspect the pullies/tensioner etc and tell if they are going bad? Anybody else go thru this?

Check all your turbo hoses, I had this condition once and it was the turbo to IC hose whistling(screech loud) due to a leak under boost ..

Good call! I've got new blue turbonetics hoses on there, but one of them looked like it mioght have been getting pinched a bit.

I'd still like to hear any feedback on checking out pullies.
