I went to Arlington park racecourse yesterday to bet on some
horses. I don't know a damn thing about horses, so I pick my
winners by the names I like.
Saw a horse called "Quarter Times" and bet $5.00 to win
along with a $2.00 exacta on "Quarter Times" and "Its all
about attitude".
Sure enough...that's how they finished, cool:cool:
Paid out $136.00, that's the most I've ever won!

Then I saw a horse named "Boosted" and placed my biggest
bet ever, thinking it had to be a sure thing with a name like that;)

Well, turns out Boosted didn't have enough "horse" power to
win the race:rolleyes: :(

Guess he needs a little more tuning...

That's funny.

Here on a local radio station they have a game called "Race Horse, Rock band or Adult Video" They give a name and you have to guess which one it is, their are some pretty perverted race horse names out their, well if you think 'that way'. :)

I had a friend that lived in west memphis (arkansas) when I was attenting a school in memphis (tennessee). He would take me to this dog track in arkansas sometimes for fun. $2 minimum bet for win place or show. Typically I'd bet place. Betting on dogs is easy. You'd watch the dogs and figure out which one had the most attitude, wasn't sniffing other dog butts, etc. Every last time I went out, I made money at it. Completely ignored the scorecard and bet on instinct. Best I ever did was about $25 payoff from my $2 place bet that turned out to be a longshot dog (I didn't know that)... I just knew he looked like he had a pair ;) Fun times.
