My buddy and I were out filming runs at California Speedway today, and a SN95 Cobra with 600+ RWHP lost it at about the 1000ft mark, almost hit the Fox Body Stang next to him and then recovered :uh oh: Here is the video for anyone that wants to see the almost carnage. Watching it in real time I thought for sure he was going to tag the other car or the wall . It was a light showing - I'd say maybe 140 cars. Next week should be light too. If anyone goes, you could probably get 10+ runs in fairly easily. No TurboBuicks out today

he got a little to close to the wall and must have hit the dirt/dust.. he was VERY luck, i think he did GREAT in controlling his car.. most people would have slammed on the brakes and that would have taken the car into a spin or the wall..

He got out of the groove. He's lucky! He almost ran out of talent on that run.

Sign above my desk says it all, The motors horsepower should never exceed the drivers IQ. How does one lose control of a 12 second car ?

...Just so you guys know that car puts down over 600 hp to the wheels w/o bottle and 680 or so with bottle, also miles an hour close to 130. I would guess he was going well over 100 when he lost control of that beast. I think slicks in the back really run down on air pressure and full pressure normal radials up front mighta had something to do with it but Idk?

Uh oh...here comes a 1000 ft regulation for the street legal drags.

...bet they had to squeegee out his shorts at the other end.....:p
