Bought this PTA-51 new from Precision Turbo in June 2006. It has roughly 2500 miles of light use.(max 15 psi) I overboosted accidently (29 psi...getting ready to go to the track for the first time) and chopped the throttle, backpressuring the turbo, and blew an oil seal in the process....huge gouts of blue smoke from my exhaust......scared the crap out of me. It ran like an insane scalded dog as I was upping the boost (23 psi..insane ...should have left it there:frown: ).....but I'm more of a driver than a racer, and I'm putting my car back to stock.
Should be a relatively easy fix for someone who knows how....??? There's side to side play, but no forward and back. Housings and blades are perfect with absolutely no rubbing. Other than the seal, and some minor oil coking in the hot section (from the leak...easy clean) this thing is as new. I paid $800........but I'm open to offers in the $350 range......Cheers.
