Spending it's yrs in HI, the salt has taken it's toll.
I'd bet the underside looks about like the body tag.....
Of course, once "Bareass Jackson's" auctioneers get done w/ it, it'll be a $1M, in the condition it's in now.

I would have no problem watching it being crushed and tossed in the crapper its a rusted-out POS IMO. Let go of the past and move on, if it was mint I could see getting excited but a 10 sec car, big deal, most of us with quality GN's are there.

That was cool. Id like to see it restored. Thats a time period i cought when i was 9. I used to hang out at the gas station and go on the 100mph + test drives w/ the old 454 SS Chevells,390 Cougars, Mach1's and such. That was such an influential time for me

LOL! Seriously?! The car has a history. No offense to GN owners, but comparing a GN to a a car such as this DL Hemi Challenger is like comparing an apple to a football.

i gotta agree with him, i thought there was going to be some serious eye candy when i first saw the thread, then open the page to see the rusty pos it's become
they would be basically building the car around a VIN plate, front fenders, and some of the roof
Oh ya the VIN plate has the wrong rivets on it.. so maybe already a "rebody" ?? drive train #s don't match.Just a Six??

I grew up driving those cars 69 Dart GTS, Super Bee, Dart GT 340, Coronet RT 383 Dart 318(all used of course) but if I hit the lotto Big Time I would buy it in a heartbeat!
Your wasting your time trying to explain its value to someone like that. I'll bet if were built by another legend we all know they'd think differently. That car in the shape its in is worth more than any 10 second GN anywhere! Sorry, but its got pedagree. I sure someone in the Mopar world will step up and save it.
I am sure someone will get the car.. BUT the million $$$$ question.. What does the guy want for the car the way it is now ??
Wonder why the owner would let a one of one Dick Landy built car get in that bad of condition in the first place.
The car had to cost a small fortune to get it done back then and they should have known the value was going to go up in time.

Hey guys, yes that is our Challenger. I was actually trying to find the other 71 Challenger that Landy had sold and came across this post. I appreciate all the support. I'd love to see this Dart that sold for over 1 million. I'm actually looking around for it now. The Challenger we have is well documented and is an extremely rare piece but it is going to take a fairly large amount of work to be completed. We currently have a buyer on the car so we'll see exactly how things work out. Again I appreciate all of the feedback and I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and an excellent New Year.
