Not sure if this is strictly a hot air part or not but I need the 2 wire conector that conects to the temp sensor on top of the intake (above the thermostat housing). Its an oval 2 wire plug. Sorry I don't have a picture of what I need. If anyone has one that they would sell let me know.

Thanks,
Steve

Plug

Coolant temp sensor plug. Common part at any auto parts store, the same part for almost any GM vehicle 84-2XXX.

Do they usually have the actual pigtail connection that is on the harness? That is the part that I need. The sensor on the engine is good and I only need the connection from the harness side. I'll chech NAPA to see if they carry it. Thanks.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but I thought a plug is a connector in laymans terms.

What's happening to America when someone will pay 3-5.00 plus wait 2-3 days for a part they can go right down the to the nearest auto parts store and pick up. Or to the local bone yard and take one off any GM vehicle for the last 20yrs and be done with it. It's wonder we're moving towards 3rd world status...........Go ahead flame me.

Its not exactly like I'm broke down on the side of the road. The car is parked for the winter and I am just taking care of some maintenance issues. What is it to you anyway. Didn't your mama tell you that if you didn't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all? You are being antiproductive in this thread. BTW my local NAPA didn't have it and didn't show it and the closest auto parts stores are another 30 minutes away and I don't plan on being near them anytime soon and its not worth it to make a special trip. If I did make a special trip that would drive the cost up to 20-30 dollars or more with fuel and my time so now what is the better decision? Should I waste $30.00 chasing down this part or spend $5.00 to get the same part from a fellow member? What is your answer huh?

Thanks fmster I appreciate you looking out for fellow forum members. I hope I can repay the favor some day.

Thanks Jerryl for the link. They didn't seem to have the actual plug that I needed though.

Yeah, I did not see it either, but in the future, call and ask for John. I bet he can get it.
Also, now you have a source in case you need a hard to find connector.
