needle point, bingo, shuffleboard. yea. sure!
check the rod between the master and booster, MUST be some clearance,
or brake will not release, you have a known good check valve ??
let me know if I can help
thanks
Actually I had to do just that ,machined the that rod down about 1/16th to even get the front brakes to release. Check valve was also fine.
I just got a bad booster problem, Kirban I'm sure will make it right. He's just the middle man & I have no problem with him nor have I ever.

I think my power master is on its way out. The pump wont shut off and the brake light on the dash turns on sometimes, but then goes off. I know if the pump keeps running like that it will die so till i figure out the problem the car is going to stay dormant.....
add more brake fluid

Actuator or switch
problem I suspect?

Thats what I was thinking. I heard the motor running yesterday right before I got to my house and figured that I better shut it down so the motor does not burn out, i figured that was a good idea considering the motors are so hard to find.

That's ok, Phil, mine doesn't go fast enough to need stopping either, but Lou is going to fix that soon enough. I am planning on going to discs on all 4 corners & SS brake lines. Probably won't stop any better but it will look kool & drain a serious hole in my pocketbook.

My car stops great at 134mph with stock brakes. Why are you wasting your $$$$

I was thinking my blinker fluid was low...I was told that would cause the same problem....;)

I sprayed electrical contact cleaner on my connections and it fixed the problem. I wouldn't drive you're car until you get that fixed. Having a hard pedal and no brakes isn't fun going 50mph!

No kidding, I already had that on this car, and now that I know the motor core is good I don't want to destroy it and run the risk of not being able to find a new one.

I am not planning on any 134 mph life threatening stops. My car will never see 134 mph, just needs to look good in the shows. And these cars are generally considered to be poor stoppers at virtually any speed, maybe your car is an exception. SS brake lines improve the feel and remove the sponginess out of the pedal feel. I have no money. If I had your money, things would be different.

Lou,
I know you don't what to here this ...but I just installed a advance auto one in my car (cardone) $358 plus $50 core...almost a week and no problems so far. It did take almost 4-5 days to come in.

tThanks for the input I think it helps us all,But I have probably installed more of these rebuilds than most & have seen a high failure rate mostly the motors,They are high amp draw devices not meant to run for long periods of time. What controls that is the switch that has to see correct pressure to turn it off.Should it not for various reasons the pump will continue to run till it fails. The result is the 30 amp fuse blows & you have a pretty scary situation. Since there isn't anyway to rebuild the motors as they are sealed .What you get are used. There also I bet is no way to bench test under real world conditions & there fore its the customer that gets to do that. Again not a safe situation. I know we all love our Buick's but it was typical of GM in those days to release half finished products & leave it up to the consumer to deal with.Kept me in business for many years.

Heres the problem with that, He has no contact phone number,Won't take credit cards, Doesnt want to be botherd what,so ever, Just send money to a PO box & cast your fate to the wind. I would like to order three of them, But for all I know this guy could be from Nigeria. Has anybody ever done business with this mystery person? Let me know if this is for real , Lou

Yes. My experience is that he is legit. I ordered two from him and he shipped up here to Canada. Nice to deal with too. They are brand new and look OEM. I can send you a pic of the one still in the box if you like.
