Need advice for future setup?

I know that its coming so what convertor would best fit my set up. I plan on eventually getting a TE44 turbo and installing a strected intercooler. I know that when I start playing, my tranny is going to go. Right now, the transmission really shifts well, but ? is I'm not sure what in all has been done to it..shift kit? nothing? and IF anything has ever been done to it??

I've bought a cooler and a pan form kirban to help cooling but haven't installed yet.

I want to keep this car streetable but like going to the local track when open. So I want to get the best bang for the buck. How hard is it to rebuild a stock tranny and what special tools would I need. What would be a could kit to buy, I've looked at some at Postons (are they any good)

Come on guys, I know someone has to have some advice on what they think is the best convertor and what size to use on a street car set up. I want to make sure that I get a good converor for what you pay for them.
I don't have a clue what to get. I've heard vigilante? and art carr and a few others.

What is going to be your complete engine set up? That would lend a lot towards giving you some sound advice. Depending on what you really want, on a TE44 you can run anywhere from a high stall D-5 up to a 2800 to 3000 rpm stall if you want. Let us know a little more about where you want to end up at.
