Next saturday I will be converting by coolant over to NPG+. Should I replace the hoses??? I will be using the stock radiator, will that do?

Thanx

Don;t know. I bought the car from kirban in late Nov/1999. I will have to look at my papers to see if he replaced them.

The car has ~66000 miles on it.

Trent-> I read that and I am currently using rmi-25 and coolant. But it has not been changed for two years/ 7k miles. I plan on going with the NPG+ since after reading the information it made a lot of sense. I liked the fact that if my head gasket blew the NPG+ will not destroy my internal parts.

If anyone out there can prove otherwise, or has tryed the NPG+ with no positive effects please feel free to let me and others know. That way I can save a buck.

So in effect what you are saying is you can run it mixed in with your oil? Care to try it and report back? :D

wicked6,

Well how much damage is okay damage? I mean usually it is best if you blow a head gasket to just pull the motor and clean everything out then drop it back in. The only way I see a benefit is if you can actually run with it circulating in your oil system. Maybe you could test the theory on an old lawn mower or something first:)

Well I would like to know if it does what it claims. Reduce Detonation by having a higher boiling point and higher heat transfer. I would like to hear from someone that is using it.

I know there are nay sayers and new stuff is taboo. But I read GM High Tech performances article on it and the rest on the board as well as their web site. Is there anyone in the TR community using it and have any data to back up their claims!!!!

I am not talking about blown head gaskets anymore, but the other plus' they claim.

THE BENEFITS OF EVANS NPG COOLANT FOR HI PERFORMANCE CAR ENGINES

PERMITS MORE SPARK WITHOUT DETONATION
ELIMINATES SYSTEM SCALING
PERMITS USE OF A SMALLER RADIATOR
ALLOWS ALTERNATE LOCATIONS FOR RADIATOR
PERMITS SMALLER FRONTAL OPENINGS TO IMPROVE AERODYNAMICS
REDUCES CORROSION
ELIMINATES PUMP CAVITATION
MAKES POSSIBLE SMALLER, LIGHTER ENGINES
