Need Help Picking a Turbo

I'm looking to get a new turbo for my 89 TTA and wanted input on which one to get. My stock one's seals are gone so I figured I just get a new one. I'm also in the process of rebuilding my motor, So far I have a 3" THDP with dump, No-Cat, Adjustable Wastgate Actautor, 009 injectors, AFPR, High volume fuel pump, 2800-3000 stall converter, Ross TTA piston .020 over, Billet main caps, and I going to get a roller camshaft kit for it from ATR Performance. I was thinking of going with a Ta-49 or Ta-60. Would either of these be a good with my set up? And input on these or other turbo to go with would be great. Thanks, Jason
 
I would go bigger than that with your setup, at least a 61, and maybe a 62, that way you dont have to upgrade again later
 
What are your goals?How fast do you want to go?

If you only want 11's then IMHO anything from a TA-49 to maybe a PT-52 would be fine and still spool well.If you want more you'll have to go bigger.

Jason, wow, you've been busy! I put the TA-49 on my car and it was a big difference over stock. Though, I wished I would have gone bigger now.

i have the ta 60 and love it. it looks like you have a little more converter than me so you could probably go a little bigger.:D
 
Ok it's between a Ta-60 or Ta-61, If I go with either I think I'm going to get 50# injectors for it. What do you think? Also the torque converter is the orange stripe street brawler. I'm looking to get into the low 11's maybe 10"s ;) The heads are also going to get ported. Hey James did you look at that 86 yet? Let me know if you need anything. I pulled the motor out today and there were a coulple of rings that looked like there not sealing, Also the camshat I had in the car only has 3,000 miles on it and one of the lobes is almost gone :eek:

I'm probably going to go see it tomorrow. I asked about the header panel and the owner said it was fine, but said something about a hood ornament. :confused: I told him GNs didn't have them but he wouldnt' listen. So, I might be looking at a hunk of junk, but I'm prepared to walk away.

It doesnt make a whole lot of sense to just go from 009's to 50's. If you are going to upgrade get 57's or go low impedence. You have plenty of injector to go mid 11's. Get there and then worry about injectors
