NEED HELP..SPAM experts

I just got some junk mail today, and the return address is MY address: grandnatl@yahoo so if you reply to it it comes back into my mailbox, also this spammer sent tons of spam out and if it hits a invalid mailbox, it bounces back into my mailbox, how is this possible??
Has my password been stolen?

get norton....scan and fix....if u still have problems its time to format your HD. Once u've formatted your HD everything; bugs, virises, POP UPS, it all goes away. I just did mine last night now cpu runs like it was brand new.

*If ur running a fast newer style cpu with a 2.0 Gh processor or faster formatting your HD will not take very long at all. I would say less then a hour.

*oh ya, change your password if u think someone stole it. If ur password has already been changed by a 3rd party; spammer, hacker, bugs ect. Then get in contact with whoever, whatever it is your trying to login to and tell them the problem. Most companys will do this over the phone.

You might try a "spam-cleaner" like spyhunter---I downloaded their "free" version, which found about 9 bazillion spam-related items right in the windows registry (plus another 9 bazillion in the 'cookies')

the software to clean it all off your computer is $29.95 however--probably an easier (albeit a bit more spendy) alternative to completely wiping your harddrive!

BUT--I haven't used the cleanup software, so I don't know how well it works, but I'm sure SOMEONE on the board has! (actually, I'd like to know myself how well it works!)

Norton Internet Security!!!!

Just installed it yesterday and it rocks. It includes Norton Antivirus 2004 also so that kinda offsets the price a little if you actually go out and buy it. PM me for details

best 'spyware' remover is a program called ad-aware, lavasoft makes it. the regular version is free.

I can't get spywear out of my PC, its like a virus. I've always used Ad aware, free and works great.

Another thumbs up for ad-aware. That and a free popup blocker from www.endpopups.com make for a much nicer internet experience.
