Need help to ID converter

Converter came with the car, transmission is stamped Art Carr and I can see it's been modified, but let me know if you can ID the converter in the photos. Stall was at about 2800.

Numbers etched in are;
AC16930
5-99

My bad, found something on the search.

It's an ART Carr converter. Problem is I swapped it out with a PTC 3200 and the transmission is going crazy, locking and unlocking in and out of gear and shifting like crap.

Anyone know if the Art Carr transmission was modified only for an Art Carr converter?

So, if it's a NL converter, then someone disabled the TCC solenoid and took out the check ball???? I'm guessing here.

Was probably bought as a trans with the converter since you said the trans is stamped art Carr and I would assume is painted black. Did you install a NL or LU PTC?

Should be no reason why a NL PTC shouldn't work fine but a LU will require some work

Yep, it's black and I just saw them on his website. I put a LU in, so ya gonna swap that back out.
