need help

I have a serious problem. I was running 9 psi on my daily driver until lately, I can't get over 5 psi. What gives? I figure it was an exhaust leak so I changed all the gaskets but it didn't help. I would like to know what all could cause this and what should I check. thanks.

Does it still have the converter on the exhaust? Could be stopped up.

No, 3 inch duels. Oh, I forgot to mention, the car I'm talking about is not a GN. It is a mustang but I know you GN and T-type guys know your stuff. would a 90 degree bend in the exhaust cause this problem? Thanks.

Bad hoses or in my case, the innercooler had a leak.

Could be bad hoses, but I have no idea how to check for leaks. Could someone give me an idea on how to pressurize the hoses?

have you changed anything other than exhaust? For example: I got my GN and the vac lines were bacwards, causing me to run 6# too low! After turbo exhaust shouldnt negativily affect spool by 4#s.(I had a header/downpipe leak and it didnt change noticable for me) As for pressurizing things, the only thing I know to do is turn the car on and listen for air leaking...gnttype.org has a lot of troubleshooting topics...you might check them out because I saw something about checking for leaks atleast on the intercooler...

I had a 93 5.0, but was really interested in finding an SVO/doing one myself.

I have ran it once but I didn't have race gas, an intercooler, or any drag radials plus I could only muster 4.5 psi so it wasn't a good pass. I went 12.33 @113 1/4 and 8.05 @ 92 1/8. I want an intercooler but I know that I will get a pressure drop. If I can't get over 5 psi w/ no intercooler, I will only get about 3 psi w/ one. I keep saying exhuast leak because that's about all I know that will cause a pressure loss. I know you guys have experience with this stuff so keep'em coming and I will keep trying. thanks guys
