need help

What i have is a 87 gn with no power to the fuel pump relay i can jump it with power and the car runs i have all good grounds this the deal pulled the car in pulled the motor built a new fresh put it back in the car and no fuel pump so i checked all my wiring and connections and everything is were i removed it from checked all fuses had a new relay in the tool box no such luck any idea does this relay get power from the ecm? however i did check power from the battery to the ecm its has power thanks for any help that i can get

The relay is toggled by the ecm. The power that goes through the relay to feed the pump comes from the fuse panel and is key connected.

Do you have any power at the relay plug with the key on?

Thanks Rick no i do not and all the fuses are good i think the emc has went bad i checking steve woods wiring page for that pin no.
