need new housing for my turbo

I bought a (I believe it's a TA49) turbo off of ebay. It came with a .48 stage 3 turbonetics housing, brand new. Now, the inside measures 2 5/16" across. Is this a 49? I need to get a different housing; one for stock headers.

also, there's a little play in the shaft...how much is too much??

I just went and measured my TA-49. It is 2 5/16th`s. So it is at least the same exhaust side as a "49".
As for the play, you will see some side to side movement. It is the in an out movement you do not want to see.
I have a freshly coated Garrett 63, or PTE 63 3 bolt housing I could get you into. hipsibri@cs.com
