Need Powerlogger

Went to use my Direct Scan and learned it WILL NOT work with my new Wndows 7 computer - That sucks. So guess I need to update to Powerlogger BUT Kirbans site doesn't lost Windows 7 as an operating system it will work with either.

So what is person to use?
Will Powerlogger work on Windows 7 or not and if it WILL, what else do I need to buy? Do I need to send my alky chip back to TT to be upgraded to use Powerlogger? I also have a Scanmaster. How do I know what version it is?

Anyone got a used one or know who has the best price on one?

OK, just saw the Sticky about Windows 7. Does this still apply? Why such a hassle? Guess as a computer programmer I can't understand why it isn't plug & play.

Which version of 7 do you have. I know ultimate comes with a windows xp system built in. I haven't used pl or ds but just a thought.

Beats me - thought 7 was 7. I'm a mainframe guy, sorry.

Basically you download and install xp from Microsoft or a provided disc. I'd get you a link but my internet is down. I had to do it to play older computer games that weren't compatible with 7

PL works with all versions of windows from 98SE all the way to 8.1

the issue with installation issues has to do with Windows enforcement of driver signatures. Starting with 7 (64bit I think), the OS requires some additional monkey-motion to install unsigned drivers.

The installation work-arounds are well known and should be no big deal to a computer professional such as yourself.

you should not need to resort to virtual machines like the XP mode stuff.

AGREED! You'll be better off NOT messing around with virtual machines!

I purchased mine from FullThrottleSpeed.Com

It will come with a 2.2 chip to update your Scanmaster.

You can keep your ECM chip you have on there now unless you want to use Turbo Tweak's 6.1 Chip that has WOT Correction. You can also move to the new Speed Density 2 chip which allows you to have more control.

I have an AEM o2 wideband plugged in to my Power Logger aswell as a Fuel Transducer to monitor Fuel Pressure.
