Is it possible to have the steel reinforcements fit flush into kirbans fiberglass bumpers? The rear is very close, looks like it needs to go about 1/2 inch lower to be perfect. However, the front is not close at all as it will sound like it is about to crack when it is just getting started to push down.
For those of you who have these bumpers what did you do? It seems like I will have to get the old sawzall out, which I will if thats what it takes to retain the sagety of the reinforcements.

On another note if someone could do me a huge favor and take some measurements on the bumper supports it would help me out alot. I need to know how much of the strut is showing from the V part that attaches to the frame rail to the rectangle portion that attaches to the bumper. I have like 7 of these struts and I do not think any of them are the right length so I am going to use a press to correct it or maybe just buy new ones.

Thanks guys,
Eric

Eric,
I bought aluminum bumber supports from Jack Cotton. I did have to enlarge the holes in the fibreglass bumpers to be able to move them for a good fit. Not sure how much safety the stock reinforcements are going to offer surrounded by fiberglass.
