Your axles are made for .480 knurl studs. The Jegs studs are .509 knurl... Too much of an interference press.

Is it safe to drill the axles out another .029? Im sure a gear shop would do that right?

That would take too long and cost more $. I need the car ready by this coming Saturday for the Fonatana event. So can you safely open the whole to .509 and what size drill bit would do the job?

Plus I didnt see any studs that are .480" over 3" long with a 12x 1.50mm thread pitch.

Moroso..

46150 Wheel Studs—7/16"-20 x 2-7/8" Press-in, .480" dia. knurl and quick start dog end, fits most late GM drum brake applications. Standard hole size: .472" to .479"

If you have them drilled, I'd be really careful about how it's done. A drill will likely not be very accurate, and the press fit could be lost. If that happens, you'll have "fun" getting the lugs off.
A machine shop may be able to ream them, a MUCH more accurate method.
NOTE THE RED HILITED AREA!!

But I already bought 12x1.50 lug nuts for weld pro-stars so switching to standard pitch threads is gonna be a pita! If there was a .480" stud with 12x1.50 thread pitch and over 3" long than I would just order the studs.

22551491 is the GM part number for longer stock replacement wheel studs...I believe they are almost 3" long. Only thing is I'm not sure what the knurl size is.:frown:

Otherwise you might wanna try Pro Gear differentials in Kearny Mesa. I dealt with those guys twice a long time ago and were great. They might be able to come up with something...or maybe modify your axles for the bigger knurls.

Yep...

Life is just full of choices!!:D :D

I think the stock ones are also .509" since I ordered the ARP's and they fit on the stock axles no problem..... but problem solved. Nothing a 15/32" drill bit couldnt fix..... I mean two 15/32" drilll bits couldnt fix!:D

I think I got everything sorted out and seems to be running good, finally. *sigh*

Anyway I'm looking to go to Qualcomm on April 4th. Not looking to set any world records yet, lol...just trying to dial her in first and not blow anything up. Wanna go?
