OK here I go again. 85' basicaly stock. Fresh air, hot wire kit, good exhaust. Getting ready to go racing this weekend. We go over and put on the centerlines, 9 miles. During the trip home service engine light comes on. Shut it off, restart it, maybe 5 seconds, SES light comes back on and stays. So ok we have a issue. Off I go to my buddy "6banger's" place. Check codes, and get 13, 21, 22, 32. Codes 21 and 22 are tps so we figure we can go check that. Shoulda done that anyways since I replaced the turbo not 3 thousand miles ago. Anyways, we have 5 coming in, we get the low side set at .45, but when we rack it to WOT the reading does NOT change at all. NOTHING !
So, we are thinking TPS is bad. Car was running fine, before today(Of course we're trying to go racing, lol). Could the TPS failure (if failed) make all 4 codes rear their ugly heads all at once ? 13 I believe is O2, 21 and 22 are TPS and 32 is EGR. Car won't rev past about 2 thousand, and it runs barely. But idling is fine. Opinions ???? Lemme have it. Pretty much totally bummed cause racing is a wash this weekend. Got a couple weeks till the next. Gotta get it fixed.
